New text messages released by police show how a married teacher, 27, lured her 13-year-old male student into sexual assaults.
Brittany Zamora, 27, from Arizona, allegedly had sex with the teenager three times and performed a sex act on him in the classroom and in her car.
She remains in prison after being arrested back in March and pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including felony sexual conduct with a minor and molesting a child.
The police documents, obtained by KPNX, show the former teacher started messaging the boy on days when she wasn’t in school.
They also revealed the victim’s parents discovered what was going on when they found explicit messages and images on his phone.
Zamora was a teacher at the Las Brisas Academy Elementary School in Goodyear, Arizona, and made contact with the boy she allegedly assaulted via a classroom chat called ‘Class Craft’.
She asked students to message her because she wouldn’t be in class and would be “bored” at home.
The boy said the messages between them became “really intense” and said he didn’t know how it had happened.
Zamora bombarded the boy with texts like “OMG, I love you” and he responded with similar messages.
In another message she wrote: “omg lol you’re so cute baby. I wish you could’e stayed after with me.”
The boy replied: “Me too, I wish I could hang out with you whenever we wanted.”
According to police, Zamora allegedly had sex with the teenager three times and performed a sex act on him in the classroom and in her car between February 1 and March 8.
Zamora is also said to have sent him naked pictures and snaps of herself in lingerie, while her teenage victim sent nude photos back, it is claimed.
After one message where the victim said he wanted to have sex with her again Zamora allegedly replied: “I know baby! I want you every day with no time limit.”
She also allegedly texted him that “If I could quit my job and (have sex with) you all day long, I would,” court records show.
She then added “I’ll give you whatever you want baby”.
Her husband, Daniel Zamora, reportedly pressured the victim’s parents to not go to the police when the explicit messages were found.
The boy’s parents told police they installed a parental control app on his phone when he started acting oddly.
They then discovered the inappropriate messages and the boy admitted having sex with Zamora when they confronted him about it, according to police reports.
Three female students had also noticed “issues” between Zamora and the teen and wrote a letter to the principal on February 7, before the alleged assaults took place.
The boy’s parents say the first sexual encounter took place on February 16.
Principal Tim Hickey said he only spoke to one of the girls who wrote the letter but told police he realised that was a mistake.
The victim’s family filed court papers in August alleging the school district could have put a stop to the alleged abuse as it took place after the principal first heard about the alleged relationship from other students.
The parents confronted Zamora over the phone and she apologised about what happened and said she would resign.
According to police reports, when asked why the sex assaults took place, Zamora said: “I ask myself the same question.
“I just got really close after I think everything went down and we’re like, ‘How could that happen?’ … We just got close.”
She also pleaded with them saying: “I don’t want to say stuff and have me recorded right not and bring this to court and have me go to jail for the rest of my life.”
