This Morning fans were in tears when a man met his father for the first time ever – and introduced him to his own daughter who was born just weeks before.
Ollie Aris, 28, never knew his father and was raised by his mum, but found his dad on Facebook seven years ago.
His dad, Les Senzon, lost contact with Ollie during the after their meeting due to his own personal tragedies, but eventually they gained contact again, and This Morning flew Les out from America to meet his son for the first time.
Ollie and Les embraced for the first time, leaving Ollie and the viewers at home in tears.
Ollie said of their relationship: “He wasn’t there… I wanted to see him but as my mum brought me up as a mum and a dad… it’s hard. I didn’t really know what to think of him as I never knew of him.
“I’d see families with a mum and a dad and I really wanted that but it was hard.
“My mum was always looking for him all the time and then I found him on Facebook when I was 21, of all places, which was weird.
“He was happy but it was all a bit rushed so it fizzled out quite quickly, with his own issues.”
It was later revealed that Les had a life-changing accident, which left him “spiralling into a depression.”
He said: “I was taking care of my mother with dementia and I had to put her in a home because my accident was so severe I spiralled into a deep depression, I also have a mentally challenged sister who I was the guardian of…
“It was very difficult but it opened my eyes as I started coming out of my depression, it opened my eyes to needing to reach out to him. It’s overwhelming to be honest with you.”
But it wasn’t over for them yet, as Ollie then brought on his 14-week-old daughter, Blake, to meet her grandfather.
Les held her for the first, but the little girl was clearly a bit temperamental and so she went back to hug her daddy.
Fans were similarly overwhelmed, with many taking to social media to share their feelings.
This Morning airs at 10.30am weekdays on ITV.
