Chloe Madeley’s marriage to James Haskell’s big day sounded like a dream come true – and not least for the Bride’s parents, Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan.
And it seems 62-year-old Richard and 70-year-old Judy were as emotional as the bride and groom on their big day.
“He’ll make Chloe a great husband and us a great son-in-law – and friend. You can’t ask more than that,” an emotional Richard told Hello magazine following the swapping of vows at a country church on December 16.
Judy equally had only good things to say about James, gushing that he had her at “hello”.
“He walked into our house for the first time, so toweringly tall he blocked out the light. I thought: ‘Hmm… he’s impressive’,” the TV legend explained.
“But far more than that, he is a sweet and lovely man. I couldn’t be happier Chloe has married him,” Judy gushed.
The newlyweds – who began dating back in 2014 – were also overcome with joy on their big day.
“It was incredible, something I’ve dreamt of since I was a little girl,” said Chloe, who stunned in a timeless sleeveless bridal gown.
“When I turned the corner inside the church and saw James standing at the end of the aisle, I immediately felt tears streaming down my face,” she explained.
James – who looked dapper in a three piece suit – admitted he too didn’t know if he should smile or cry as emotions took hold on their big day.
“The moment she looked at me, I got a tingle in my stomach and couldn’t stop smiling. I have never been more happy,” he explained.

The couple swapped vows in front of friends and family inside a picturesque country church which had been decorated with red roses.
Chloe was driven to the venue by her famous father in a black Jaguar and he walked her down the aisle while proud Judy watched on.
