Most women step away from the high heels when they’re pregnant but not Meghan Markle.
Arriving at Smart Works in North Kensington this morning as part of her new official role the Duchess showcased her most fierce footwear choice to date.
Meghan, who is expecting her first child in the spring, opted for a pair of Gianvitto Rossi ‘Plexi’ cow print heels that we’ve definitely seen before. The 4″ heels feature perspex panels down the side and a fashionable cow print. The Duchess usually favours more muted court shoes so the quirky style was a dramatic depature.
The striking heels have previously been photographed and posted by the Duchess herself on her old Instagram account.
Gianvitto Rossi no longer do the exact same style but have court shoes that are very similar in an array of different colours for £560.
Meghan teamed the shoes with a £170.45 black ‘Eliza’ dress by maternity brand Hatch and a £2,600 tan oversized trench coat by Oscar de la Renta. Meghan also accessorised with a £1,695 Victoria Beckham vanity box leather bag and a pair of nude suede gloves.
The chic ensemble was the perfect choice for a day that involved giving fashion tips as part of her new role. Just one of four new patronages announced today Meghan is now officially involved with the Smartworks Charity based at St Charles Hospital in North Kensington, West London.
The charity provides high quality interview clothes and training to unemployed women in need and Meghan looked relaxed picking out clothes.
The Duchess helped to pick out a black handbag and put a bracelet on Patsy Wardally and was also seen talking to charity interview coach Marina Novis.
Meghan, renown for her love of neutral tones sticking to a palette of green, navy, camel and black joked, ‘Green seems to be the colour,’ as she complimented t55-year-old Patsy on her green coat.
With a keen eye for fashion this certainly looks like the perfect role for Meghan.
